Listen with Mother
My sister and I used to listen to 'Listen with Mother', Woman's Hour and The Archers on Radio 4 with our mother who always seemed to be doing the ironing during these times, whilst our father was out at work.
Now as a mature mother who unashamedly goes out to work, I still listen to Woman's Hour and The Archers but at the weekends with our children – now adults. I'm fairly sure that when the time comes, our grandchildren will also indulge in these eminent family activities!
…. and yes our mother still listens whilst ironing!!
