How we use your personal data

We collect information from you when you first attend one of our meetings:
First name, last name, postal address and optionally email address, and telephone number. We also maintain an attendance flag to indicate which meetings you have attended.

The data is stored on our Administrator’s computer in an encrypted container on disc and is backed up in encrypted form to cloud storage. Only the Administrator has access to the data.

Additionally, if the member has supplied an email address, the member’s first and last names and their email address are stored in an online newsletter publishing system called 'MailChimp' so that email newsletters can be sent to members occasionally. Only the Administrator has access to this online data which is protected by userid and password.

We will never share your personal data

No information is shared with anyone else. Occasionally the Group Organiser may request information about a member from the Administrator in order to contact the member.

Retaining and deleting personal data

Your information is retained on our system permanently unless you ask us to remove it. Your information is also maintained in the online Newsletter system unless you unsubscribe yourself or ask us to remove it.

You may ask for your information to be removed from our system and/or newsletter system and this will be actioned as soon as possible within 14 days.

You may request to see the information that we store about you at any time and you may ask for us to change the data that we are holding about you.

Should you ever wish to have your personal data removed from our systems, simply contact us via email admin@londonlightmusic.org.uk or call 020-8449 5559.
